Hot Trailer: 'Oz The Great And Powerful'

Image of Hot Trailer: 'Oz The Great And Powerful'

Sorry, but I 150% disagree with your comments and Me. However, I understand haters will always hate, and apparently judge something that they have only seen as a teaser trailer.

A very good solid teaser trailer, which did the right job of not revealing too much but just enough.

In no shape of form did James Franco look boring or had zero desire to be there but amazing and the right cast for the job.

Also, nothing at all suggested that fantastic looking movie, looked fake but actually stunning, which pays respects to 1939 Wizard of Oz classic, from the very little we ALL did see as again, it was just a teaser trailer ONLY.

The trailer highlighted the following excitement:

1. Turning from Black/White into color.
2. Banner at the very start read 'Baum Bros', showing great respect to author of the 14 books written by Frank Baum.
3. The visuals seems to be a step further improvement from Alice and Wonderland. Which, I think at the time, Alice and Wonderland came out, it was good enough anyway, for most reasonable people and even I think won an Oscar.
4. I know you seem to have already have made up your mind about this movie, but for others, who think outside the box and are open minded, there are enough youtube videos NOW from Sami Rami and the other A-list stars, especially from the Comic-Con stating that they actually built LIVE stages (more than several), that helped enhance the green/blue screen elements.

Which, I think it shows in this EARLIER trailer and will futher show in future trailers, plus when others, who are actually interested in this movie FINALLY get to see it in March 2013.

Your jealously seems to stem that James Franco is the main character. So what? At the end of the day, he got the final pick (every movie, you could always recommend someone else for the role = deal with it) and as a box office draw already (especially with the Spider-man series/Rise of the Planet of the Apes which made serious many money because he was part of it too) this too will be a monster hit. You haven't seen the final project to judge his performance fully.

Yes, you're 150% correct, as the audience, we should feel for his character but since it's a teaser, he does enough to get most open-minded people to be interested (infact, all the stars we saw do enough), what's the problem?

Oh, what's wrong with Taylor Lautner and one thing about James Franco, he seems to be his OWN man (that's why he attracts haters) as in his James Franco no one else.

Again, James Franco ALWAYS looks interesting, especially the different characters (from James Dean, Pineapple Express, Milk to 127 Hours) that he plays on screen. He's not getting a Hollywood Walk of Fame next year for nothing.

Hey, the budget has nothing to do with this (look it up, it's not that difficult), especially when I get the impression you just want this movie to fail because you don't like Franco anyway. If you CAN do a better job, I look forward to seeing you on screen and maybe supporting you.

The movie has many talented Oscar nominated/winners involved, may be that's what's wrong you; you don't actually know what a star looks like? Even, without stars this movie looks great enough to be a mega HIT and even possible maybe, just maybe another classic but we ALL need to see the FINAL RESULT then confirm whether we liked it or not.

Yes, you are correct, you can seriously tell that the story is weak and boring from JUST ONE teaser trailer, WOW what planet? The majority with common sense will WAIT to watch the final project before deciding.

I don't think this will bomb (as you wish) but again be a total monster HIT, that IS what disturbs you I think, BUT time will tell, who is right?

As for Me, stating Sam Rami Career is over, every actor/actress/director etc have their UPS and DOWNS but his directing career, most certainly is NOT over and this movie aleady suggest so, that his BACK stronger than ever. Again, time will tell though.

As someone pointed out below, we now live in a world, were the internet is pure hate at times, DON'T WANT TO GIVE NOTHING A CHANCE. You just want to hate for the sake of it. It's a real shame.

But for myself, as a strong movie lover, from the little that I did see as a TEASER TRAILER, I can't wait to see more of movie and finally watch it before I make up my mind.

It's long response SORRY people but I had to go there'

Here's a first look at Tom Cruise taking on the hulking main character in the Lee Child novels for Paramount's Jack Reacher. It will be interesting to see the fan reaction to finally seeing Cruise as the ex-military policeman-turned-benevolent drifter who always finding himself smack in a situation where a helpless person needs someone who can put the clues together and kick butt when necessary. Some have questioned casting Cruise as a 6-foot-5, 250-pound bad ass. The movie, from Paramount and Skydance Productions, opens December 21.
